Corrections and Clarifications — December 13, 2025

Published - December 13, 2025 12:32 am IST

In a report, “Opposition walks out as BJP MP withdraws question on forensics question in Rajya Sabha” (Inside pages, December 11, 2025), the reference to Rule 253 (“Division by operating automatic vote recorder”) was incorrect. It should have been Rule 53 of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the Council of States (Rajya Sabha), which is on “Withdrawal or postponement of questions”. No question was “skipped” as the question (Question 107) was withdrawn. When the Chairman moved from Question 106 to 108, the Opposition protested. The Chairman clarified that Question 107 had been withdrawn by the member who posed it.
