Four killed as bikes collide at Nedumangad in Kerala

The accident occurred around 10:45 p.m. near the Government Primary Health Centre at Uzhamalakkal on the Nedumangad-Aryanad road.

Four youths were killed in a road accident after two speeding motorcycles collided at Nedumangad in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, on Sunday night.

The accident occurred around 10:45 p.m. near the Government Primary Health Centre at Uzhamalakkal on the Nedumangad-Aryanad road.

According to sources, the motorcycles were travelling at high speed when they crashed into each other. The collision resulted in a devastating impact that completely wrecked both vehicles.

All the motorcyclists were rushed to the Nedumangad District Hospital. Three victims – Sreelal, 28, Binoy, 20, and Rajesh, 21, all natives of Uzhamalakkal – were declared dead upon arrival. The fourth victim, Abhinav, 21, also from Uzhamalakkal, sustained grievous injuries and was rushed to the hospital. He succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment during the early hours of Monday.

According to the police, Sreelal was an accused in a KAAPA (Kerala Anti-social Activities Prevention Act) case registered at the Aryanad police station.

A case has been registered in connection with the accident.
