Rashmika Mandanna has lashed out at “individuals, influencers, and platforms” for circulating “defamatory or privacy-violating content”. The Pushpaand Animalactor took to Instagram to express her concern.

On March 11, 2026 (Wednesday), an alleged telephonic conversation between Rashmika’s mother, Suman Mandanna, and another person, was leaked on social media. The conversation in the audio put the spotlight back on Rashmika’s estranged relationship with actor Rakshit Shetty. The actors got engaged on July 03, 2017, before calling off their engagement the next year.

Rashmika, who married Telugu star Vijay Deverakonda on February 26, 2026, wrote in an Instagram story, ”What has happened in the last 24 hours crosses a line that can’t be ignored. An old private conversation, believed to be from nearly eight years ago, appears to have been recorded and circulated without the knowledge or consent of those involved.”

She further said, “A small portion of that conversation has now been deliberately taken out of context and circulated widely to create yet another discomforting controversy — strategically coinciding with recent developments in my personal life.”

Rashmika slammed people for “manufacturing hate and controversy.” “While we move forward in life, grow, create meaningful work, and spread positivity, it is unfortunate that a few continue to manufacture hate and controversy at the cost of another person’s dignity and peace.”

The actor said those “circulating this content or related narratives must remove them immediately.” “Failing this, starting tomorrow (March 13, 2026), legal action will be initiated — including the issuance of legal notices to individuals, digital platforms, influencers, or media organisations involved in the continued circulation of defamatory or privacy-violating content, in accordance with applicable law.”

Rashmika and Deverakonda tied the knot at a Telugu wedding ceremony in the presence of family members and close friends on the outskirts of Udaipur.
