Burglary at Kowdiar Palace; jewellery worth ₹2 crore stolen

According to the complaint, several pieces of gold and gem-studded jewellery, including antique valuables, that were kept in an iron almirah in her bedroom at the palace had gone missing

A burglary involving jewellery worth nearly ₹2 crore has been reported from the historic Kowdiar Palace in Thiruvananthapuram.

The Peroorkada police registered a case based on a complaint filed by Aswathi Thirunal Gouri Lakshmi Bayi, member of the erstwhile Travancore royal family, on Saturday (March 14).
