Minister for Agriculture Tummala Nageswara Rao on Sunday (March 15, 2026) stated that the first tranche Rythu Bharosa investment support of ₹6,000 per acre for the ongoing Rabi season.

According to the minister, the bank accounts of about 70 lakh farmers would be credited the support for their landholding up to one acre, irrespective of their total landholding, on March 22 and ₹3,590 crore was released already for the purpose.

After a gap of 20 days, another ₹2,650 crore would be released and credited to the farmers bank accounts and by April-end the remaining amount needed for the Rythu Bharosa would be released as the third tranche and credited to the bank accounts of the farmers concerned.

In three phases, a total of about ₹9,000 crore would be credited to accounts of land holding farmers as the Rythu Bharosa investment support for the Rabi season. The minister stated that the government was releasing the investment support despite financial constraints of the government, keeping in mind the welfare of the farming community.
