A total of 258 students in Tiruchi district have cleared the National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship (NMMS) examination for the academic year 2025–26. The district secured the 11th place in Tamil Nadu this year.
Last year, about 293 students from the district qualified in the exam, securing the ninth position in the State. Officials said the district’s performance has slipped slightly compared to the previous year.
