Neha Kirpal is an award-winning social entrepreneur, author, speaker and lived experience ambassador. After founding and leading India’s first international art fair for a decade, she turned her focus to building a mental healthcare ecosystem for India, drawing from her own lived experience as a lifelong carer to a parent with schizophrenia and a sibling suicide loss survivor. As co-founder of Amaha, a mental health service organisation, and more recently the India Mental Health Alliance, Neha is passionate about making quality mental healthcare accessible and to position mental health as a developmental priority for the nation. Her debut book, Homecoming: Mental Health Journeys of Resilience, Healing and Wholeness, holds bold and courageous narratives of 11 women leaders navigating severe mental illness and highlights the value of lived experience as expertise, that can inform care practice and systems. An Aspen and Eisenhower fellow, and WEF Young Global Leader, she is a recipient of several leadership awards including the President of India’s Nari Shakti award.
