
Dr Chandrakant Lahariya is a medical doctor and India’s leading health policy and global health expert. He has worked with the World Health Organization and UNICEF for nearly 17 years in offices across India, South Asia, Africa and WHO HQ in Geneva, Switzerland. He has been engaged and involved in drafting of India’s national health policy 2017 and the designing and implementation of several primary healthcare reforms in Indian states and other parts of the world. As a practicing physician, Dr Lahariya’s work focuses upon a holistic approach of prevention and management of lifestyle diseases in primary care settings and by the primary care providers.
Dr Lahariya has written and published extensively in scientific journals with more than 150 articles in reputed indexed national and international journals, including leading Indian newspapers. Since 2020, he has been listed as top 2% global researchers in the field of clinical medicine. He has received multiple awards and is widely respected for his social sector work.
